About
What is Second Brain Chronicles?
SBC is a weekly newsletter that documents the real process of building an AI-augmented second brain — a system called Cerebro that combines an Obsidian vault, Claude Code agents, MCP servers, and automation workflows into something that actually works.
Each issue covers what I built, what broke, the numbers behind it, and whatever rabbit hole I fell into that week. It’s not a tutorial or a product review. It’s a build log — the workshop journal of someone deep in the process.
Who writes this?
I’m Jim Christian, a digital consultant and systems builder based in Valencia, Spain. By day, I help organisations make sense of their digital strategy. By night (and early morning, and weekend), I build an AI-augmented second brain that manages my projects, writing, and workflows.
I also write Signal Over Noise, a newsletter about AI tools and productivity for knowledge workers. SBC is the behind-the-scenes companion — the workshop behind the showroom.
The System
Cerebro is built on:
- Obsidian — The knowledge layer. Projects, notes, daily logs, and context files.
- Claude Code — Custom AI agents and skills for writing, research, consulting, and automation.
- MCP Servers — Model Context Protocol servers connecting AI to calendars, finances, email, and other services.
- n8n — Workflow automation handling RSS distribution, content pipelines, and service integrations.
- Kit.com — Newsletter distribution via RSS-triggered broadcasts.
